Rogers Appears in Court, Charged with Stabbing Boyfriend
A grand jury will hear the case of a Jackson mother accused of trying to kill her boyfriend by stabbing him in the back. Denisha Rogers, 20, returned to court, Thursday afternoon, where she waived her right to a preliminary hearing. She is charged with attempted second degree murder in the an alleged attack on her boyfriend, June 14. During the appearance, Rogers also asked the judge to lower her bond, which is currently set at $100,000. He denied the request which left her visibly upset as she exited the courtroom. Rogers and the victim have two infant children together. The victim is now recovering at home.
