Circles of Hope Telethon Set for Sunday

Don’t forget to tune into a true Hub City tradition, Sunday, on WBBJ-ABC 7. The Carl Perkins Center’s 28th Annual Circles of Hope Telethon will air from 1-11 p.m. with a few twists this year. The telethon is the primary fundraiser for the Exchange-Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse with all the funds that are raised going to the center’s programs and services. There are currently 18 different child abuse prevent centers serving 21 counties across West Tennessee. The big twist this year is that the telethon will not air continuously from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. From 1 p.m. until 7 p.m., the traditional telethon with no commercial breaks will air. But from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m., WBBJ will air the CMA Music Festival. During those three hours, in place of commercial breaks, you will be returned lived to the Carl Perkins Civic Center for updates on the fundraising effort. Then from 10 p.m. until 11 p.m., the telethon will resume uninterrupted. So make sure to tune in and help make a difference in the life of a child.
