JMC School Bus Involved in Wreck

It was a scary ride for students on a Jackson-Madison County school bus involved in accident along one of Jackson’s busiest streets. This was the scene on North Highland at Old Humboldt Road just after 2:30, Friday afternoon following a crash between the bus involving three other vehicles. Police said a pickup ran the red light at the intersection, hit a car and then was deflected into another car that hit the school bus. Witnesses on the scene said that none of the eight students were injured, but the driver of the pickup suffered only minor injuries. The wreck backed up and diverted traffic for a short time while crews worked to clear the street.
