UT Dorms At Capacity

All 12 University of Tennessee residence halls are at full capacity for the fall semester due to increased demand for on-campus housing.

More than 7,500 students moved into campus housing on Saturday.

Presidential Courtyard, a major hub for campus life at UT, was bustling with students hauling boxes up stairs, vendors offering free pizza and groups of friends tossing Frisbees, according to The Knoxville News Sentinel

There were concerns some students might be forced to move into recently renovated surplus housing, but all students who applied for on-campus housing are moving into permanent rooms.

Classes start Wednesday for all 27,000 UT undergraduate and graduate students.
