Telethon Raises More than $1 Million

It was a record year for the annual Circles of Hope Telethon benefiting the Exchange Club-Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse broadcast on WBBJ-TV, ABC 7, Sunday. With more than $1.1 million in donations were pledged this year. All funds will be used to support the 18 child abuse prevention centers serving 21 West Tennessee Counties. Last year the centers served more than 13,500 individuals, with more than 8,400 of those being children.
