Trenton Police Seek Shoplifting Suspects

Police in Trenton are looking for three suspected shoplifters who allegedly assaulted a store worker. Investigators said they were called to Fred’s Discount Store on Highway 45 By-Pass, Monday afternoon to investigate a report of three women that had left the store with items they did not pay for. Officers said as they were responding to the scene, a store employee confronted one of the women, and was sprayed with pepper spray. Witnesses told officers that she ran from the scene with two other women. Police said all three suspects are black women and were last seen leaving the area in a gold or tan Ford Explorer.
