Worley Looking Forward to 10th River Run
A well-known country singer and musician again is getting ready for concerts that will help those who are suffering in West Tennessee. Darryl Worley, who calls Hardin County home, announced details Monday for the 10th Annual Tennessee River Run, September 16 and 17. The annual fundraiser for the Darryl Foundation will feature Kansas, Derek Holmes and Mark Slaughter on Friday and Montgomery Gentry and of course Worley on Saturday. In addition to the music there are golf and fishing tournaments, a 5K run, motorcycle poker run and fun for the entire family. “I always go back to the fact that there is just a ton of individuals that share the vision and work so hard to pull it off,” said country singer Darryl Worley. Proceeds benefit the Worley Foundation, which serves needs in Hardin and McNairy Counties, Saint Jude Children’s’ Research Hospital, LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Darryl Worley Cancer Treatment Center in Savannah.
