Corker Speaks to Constituents in Carroll County
Senator Bob Corker made a stop in Carroll County to talk about what is on everyone’s mind…the economy. Throughout the rest of the month, the Republican senator from Chattanooga is making stops across the state to talk about what is happening in Washington. Tuesday afternoon, he was in Huntingdon, where about 30 constituents gathered to meet with the senator and hear his thoughts on the deficit, something he believes is the nation’s struggle of the decade. “This has a very negative effect on our economy,” said Senator Bob Corker of Tennessee.” It takes resources when spending is out of whack, it keeps us from doing other things that are in our country’s best, long-term interest.” Corker estimates since last August, he has conducted more than 60 discussions on America’s debt crisis.
