Jimmerson Makes First Court Appearance

The man accused of shooting his wife outside the Walmart in south Jackson has confessed to the crime, according to police. Wednesday morning Wallace Leon Jimmerson, 52, appeared in Jackson City Court where he was officially charged with attempted first degree murder, aggravated assault and felony reckless endangerment. According to court papers, shortly after his arrest, Jimmerson told an investigator he followed his wife to work and shot her. He is accused of opening fire on his wife of 20 years, Tuesday morning. She was hit in the arm and both legs, but is expected to make a full recovery. Wallace Jimmerson remained jailed in lieu of $125,000 bond.
