Fowls Foul KY Parkway

Crews are cleaning up a foul mess in western Kentucky.

Kentucky Department of Transportation spokesman Keith Todd says a semi-truck that was carrying chicken viscera overturned Tuesday at about 6 a.m., spilling its slimy contents onto the road. All lanes of the Pennyrile Parkway have been closed near the 63 mile marker in Webster County.

Todd said cleanup is likely to be difficult and the parkway is not expected to reopen until late morning.

A detour was set up along U.S. 41, but Todd says motorists should expect delays due to the extra traffic.
