JMC Bus Driver Charged in Assault

Jackson police have decided a Jackson-Madison County school bus driver was at fault in a fight earlier this month with her boss. Investigators said the August 18 fight happened at the district bus garage on Harts Bridge Road. Lynda Roberts ,45, was served Tuesday with a criminal summons charging her with simple assault. Officers said during an argument over her bus schedule, Roberts grabbed her supervisor and hit her in the face. Due to the type of charge, Roberts was not arrested Tuesday, but is required to go to the Madison County jail before September 9 and be photographed and fingerprinted. She will appear in court the next day.
