What should have been a blissful weekend for one West Tennessee bride ended with her father fatally punched to the ground behind the church by the pastor who officiated the wedding. “It’s just a hard situation to believe that something like that happened,” said Parsons resident, Kay Brasher. Police said they responded to a call at the Amazing Grace Ministries Church, Saturday. According to authorities, upon arrival they found Joseph Tucsnak, 58, irate over the seating arrangement at the wedding. After a second call concerning the same issue later in the evening, police said the wedding took place. Officials responded to another call Monday from the same church where they said witnesses report another altercation took place between Tucsnak and the pastor of the church, Pastor Chris Warren. “He approached Mr. Warren with his hands in his pocket. That’s when witnesses say Mr. Tucsnak made a lunging effort toward Mr. Warren and he responded with a swing,” said District Attorney Hansel McCadams. Authorities said Tucsnak was rushed to Decatur County General Hospital and later air lifted to Vanderbilt Medical Center where he died. Officials said before determining whether charges will be filled they will first talk to witnesses and obtain an autopsy. McCadams said there is a possibility the case will be presented to the grand jury which will meet on September 20.
