Police Use Craigslist To Find Crooks
Police peruse Craigslist, too, as two young Rutherford County men have discovered.
Nathan Cody Hewitt and Oliver Quenton Bane were arrested by Murfreesboro Police officers this week and charged with auto burglary and theft, according to The Daily News Journal
Both are 18 and are students at Holloway High School.
A police report said officers were tipped the students were trying to sell an expensive electric bass guitar online. The department set up an undercover sting and a detective posing as a buyer met the suspects at a fast-food restaurant Monday. After he examined the guitar and verified the serial number as one stolen from a car outside the World Outreach Church on Aug. 27, he arrested Hewitt and Bane.
