Man Arrested after Ramming Henry Co. S.D. Patrol Car

A Henry County deputy is dealing with a bit of whiplash after being rear-ended by a suspected drunk driver early Sunday morning. Jordan Birch, 23, of Springville is accused of slamming his pickup truck into the deputy’s patrol car just after midnight, Sunday. Investigators would not say how fast Birch was going, but only that it was a high rate of speed. The deputy was not seriously hurt. Birch, who is currently free, faces charges of driving under the influence and violation of the implied consent law.
