Three west Tennessee universities have something to brag about after ranking among the best in the south according to U.S. News and World Report. For a second straight year, Union University in Jackson garnered the 15th spot in the magazines list of Best Universities in the South. It also ranked as one of the region’s top up-and-coming schools. Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson sits in the 39th sport for best regional universities, and is also recognized as one of the area’s great schools at great prices. Also, on the Best in the Region list is the University of Tennessee at Martin, which ranks 49th.
