Deberry Indicted in Two Shootings

A Brownsville man has been indicted by a Haywood County grand jury on a slew of charges in two separate shootings. Lakendrick Deberry, 19, as well as a juvenile will stand trial on charges stemming from a June shooting along Houston Street in Brownsville. Each face counts of attempted second degree murder and weapons charges. Deberry was also indicted on charges of first degree murder, attempted first degree murder and weapons counts in a deadly shooting last month on Lark Street. A father was fatally wounded while his 16-year-old son was injured in that incident.
