Pumpkin Field Day at Ag Center

The Annual UT Pumpkin Field Day was held at the West Tennessee Ag Research and Education Center, Thursday. The Field Day provided “How To” sessions for commercial growers and home owners. Attendees learned about pest control, marketing tips and different production methods. “We hope we are able to reach a segment of agriculture that is really growing,” said Ginger Rowsey with the UT Ag Center. “Hopefully we can get some people interested in agriculture who may not traditionally be.” The event also provided tractor trailer ride and sessions for first-time growers who simply want pumpkins for tasty treats or holiday decor.
