Theme Park Proposed For Nashville Fairgrounds
A proposal for a new theme park at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville is expected to be on the agenda of the Metro Council.
The Council is holding its first meeting of the new term Tuesday night, according to WSMV-TV
In his proposal, Councilman Bruce Stanley says the 117-acre site is an ideal location for an amusement park with rides, games and other forms of entertainment.
His plan calls for a park with a country music and NASCAR theme.
Stanley believes the park would attract tourists, increase city revenue and provide work opportunities.
