Another West Tennessee educator is chosen as the Tennessee Education Lottery’s Teacher of the Month. David Hale of Huntingdon Middle School was selected by voters to win the award. Hale is an eighth grade American history teacher and basketball coach at HMS. Hale said in his three decades plus of teaching, he has seen many changes in the classroom. The on constant for him is his desire to make students better people. He said he uses a fairly simple formula-establish a foundation and understanding with his students and make sure they know you care about them, not only as a student, but as a person as well.
