A driver headed south in a northbound lane of South Highland Ave. is blamed for a head-on collision that sent two to the hospital, Wednesday evening. It was around 7:30 p.m., when Jackson police say the man driving a silver truck rammed head-on into a small SUV. Both went by ambulance to the hospital, but are believed to have non-life threatening injuries. The wreck slowed traffic for quite some time in south Jackson. Investigators believe age was a factor in the wreck. As of late Wednesday, police said no charges had been filed against the driver of the truck. Police said both vehicles were totaled and had to be towed from the scene.
