Lawsuit Filed In Immigration Raid
Four Nashville residents have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit over a raid carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents who were looking for a fugitive.
Nashville attorney Elliott Ozment filed the lawsuit on behalf of plaintiffs who say ICE agents came to their apartment last year without a warrant and threatened to break down the door and drag them out.
A spokesman for the federal agency said ICE does not comment on pending litigation, according to The Tennessean (
Ozment said the agency routinely goes to addresses where someone they’re looking for hasn’t lived in some time, arresting others incidentally.
The plaintiffs are Pablo Cahuec-Castro, Myra Leticia Juarez, Ottoniel Perez-Piox and Maria del Rosario Osorio.
