Dinner in the Dark benefit
PLACE: STAR Center Auditorium DATE: November 5, 2011 TIME: 6:00 pm COST: $55 individual tickets/$600 table of 8 The Jackson Downtown Lion‘s Club presents its 1st annual Dinner in the Dark on Saturday, November 5th at 6:00 pm in the STAR Center Auditorium. Served in total darkness, the 1st annual Dinner in the Dark event will be a unique experience into a world of smell, taste, sound & texture. The dinner is a benefit designed to raise awareness and funds for the Jackson Downtown Lion‘s Club and the STAR Center. Without vision, information from our other senses becomes more noticeable. This is a unique opportunity for people to experience, for a few short hours, what people who are blind or visually impaired live with every day.
