Drug Warrant Executed at Lane Express

An east Jackson convenience store was raided late Friday morning. Officers with the Gang Unit of the Jackson Police Department were seen carting several bags of evidence from the store. It even appeared they hauled away a safe. “We have conducted a long-term investigation at this location in reference to narcotics being sold on the parking lot and inside this location,” said Lt. Chris Wiser. “We have had numerous complaints from people in the community about the open air drug sales that goes on in this location.” Officers said three people were taken into custody. To were wanted on outstanding warrants. As of Tuesday evening, neither the names of the suspects nor the charges they face had not been released.
