Antique Store Robbery Arrests
Two people are in jail after a robbery at a small West Tennessee antique store. Police say the victim was a 67-year-old woman who was held at gunpoint and forced to the ground, but the robber didn’t get away with much. Shara Goode had a different start to her work day at “Grandma’s Attic,” in Dresden on Thursday. “He walked up to the counter and I said, ‘What can I help you with?'” said Goode. “Then he pulled out his gun and he said, “Give me the money, give me the money, give me the money,'” says Goode. Goode says she gave all the money in the cash register to Corey L. Ray of Paris. “I thought as soon as he had the money he would leave, he didn’t, and then when he started walking me to the back of the building, then I got concerned, Is he gonna take me back here and shoot me, knock me in the head, or what’s he gonna do?” says Goode. Police say, Ray just made Goode lie on the floor of the backroom and count to 1,000, as he ran out to a waiting car, driven by girlfriend, Angela Lytle. But they didn’t have long to spend the $155.00 from the register, thanks to workers next door who knew exactly who they were; and within an hour Dresden officials had arrested them.
