Chaney Given New Court Date; Additional Charges Likely

The Jackson man accused in last week’s crime spree that spanned the city was back in court, Thursday morning. Tray Chaney, 18, appeared in Jackson City Court only to have his appearance rescheduled for next Thursday. Chaney is accused of killing his girlfriend and shooting her friend outside a west Jackson apartment complex, last Tuesday, then carjacking a family and being at the center of a deputy-involved shooting. He currently faces six separate charges, including first degree murder. He is being held without bond.
