Donald Wayne McCall is no stranger to the law. He has served time for armed robbery, sexual assault and second degree murder in the death of his first cousin. “If you look at his record it pretty much speaks for itself. I mean it’s pretty bad,” said Crockett County Sheriff Troy Klyce. According to the arrest warrant, this past July the 57-year- old was at a pool in Gadsden where he allegedly raped two young girls. “We received some information from some relatives that possibly a crime had been committed against these kids and we began investigating it from that point,” said Sheriff Klyce With the hard work of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department and the help of the Decatur County Sheriff’s Department a very dangerous man is now off the streets. Investigators told ABC 7 Eyewitness News the two girls lives could have been in danger had he still been on the streets. “If you look at his record it stems all the way back to the 70’s and they are violent crimes. Who knows what could have happened if he continued to be on the streets,” said Sheriff Klyce. Thursday afternoon, two members of the Crockett County Sheriff’s Department left to pick up McCall and bring him back to the Crockett County Jail.
