“Field of Flags” Flying in Humboldt

The Humboldt and Gibson County Exchange Club is celebrating Military Appreciation Month with their “Field of Flags” display. The flags are located on the lawn of the First Baptist Church on the Highway 45 Bypass in Humboldt. Organizers said a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Exchange Club/Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse in Gibson County. They said participants can purchase a flag in honor of or in memory of a loved one. Organizers said the flags will be flown from November 1-21 and will also serve as a prelude to a Veteran’s Day program set for November 11.
