TN Democrats Announce Voter ID Education Effort

Democratic leaders across the state are joining forces against the new voter photo ID law, a measure they call the “Voter Suppression Picture ID” Law. In Jackson and across the state, efforts were announced to combat the law which goes into effect in January. The effort includes promoting voter participation, voter education and a full repeal of the ID law. Democrats said 675,000 Tennesseans lack government-issued photo IDs.
