Sheriff Asks Hunters For Help In Bobo Search

Tennessee’s first deer season since Holly Bobo went missing last April is upon us, and that has the Decatur County sheriff asking hunters for help. With hunting season here, authorities know there are going to be a lot more people out there in the woods than usual, and they ask hunters to be on the look-out for anything unusual that could help in the investigation. “We would just ask them to be aware of their surroundings and if they see any articles such as clothing or articles that a lady might carry within her purse, or something of that nature, something that could have been left behind or dropped,” said Sheriff Roy Wyatt. Local hunters said they are more than willing to take that extra glance when out. They said when you are in the woods scouting for deer, you notice things that are out of place. Many residents said they are always looking, not a day goes by when they are not thinking about Bobo. “There will be a lot of people in the woods and a lot of eyes out there and they can spot anything that would be out of the way or something that might have been missed,” says local hunter, Paul Williams. With other missing person cases springing up; like recent Dyer County mother, Karen Swift, officials encourage all hunters in any area to always be aware of your surroundings.
