Sex Offender Charged with Violating Registry

A convicted sex offender from Madison County has found himself in trouble with Nashville Police. Dennis Phillips, 45, is charged with violating the state sex offender registry law, after moving to the Nashville area without notifying authorities , which he is required to do by law. Phillips last reported living in the 2100 block of Beech Bluff Road in May, but investigators said he moved in July of August. Phillips was convicted on one court of sexual battery in August 2007.
