Malesus Elementary Honors Veterans
An early gathering to honor those who have and are serving our country in the armed forces was held, Wednesday. Veterans Day is not until Friday, but faculty, staff and students and Malesus Elementary School took time to honor them with patriotic songs, dance and the Pledge of Allegiance. Veterans who attended Malesus were given special attention. “Support everybody in all that they do and just be thankful that they live in a country that is free and that is willing to stand up and make the sacrifices and do the things that they do so that they can have the things that they have today,” said Jennifer White, a 4th grade teacher at Malesus Elementary School. The South Jackson Civitan Club treated veterans and their families to a brunch.
