Titan Tires Buys Goodyear Plant

Obion County Mayor Benny McGuire confirmed Thursday afternoon that Titan Tires bought the Goodyear Plant in Union City. Titan Tires will take possession of the plant, Friday. Although the mayor doesn’t know any numbers yet, the plant will create many jobs for unemployed people, and hopefully boosting the economy. This is something the mayor says the whole town has been anticipating ever since the Goodyear plant closed its doors in July, costing 1,800 people their jobs.
