Weekend Fire Causes Damage to Lexington Store

A Henderson County business is damaged by a weekend fire that investigators believe could be the work of an arsonist. Saturday afternoon around 5:30, firefighters arrived at the Fred’s Super Dollar store in Lexington and found flames and smoke inside the store. The fire was quickly put out with only minimal damage done to the back of the store. Employees said they worked all day Sunday cleaning up the store. Fire officials said they believe the incident could be the result of an arsonist. An investigation into the cause continued.
