Hardy Sentenced for Jackson Bank Robbery
The Mississippi man who plead guilty to robbing a north Jackson bank learned the conditions of his plea deal. A federal judge ordered Terrence Hardy to serve 37 months for the armed robbery and 87 months for using a firearm in relation to a crime of violence. His total sentence, which must be served consecutively is 10 years and one month in prison. Officers said last year, Hardy robbed the First South Bank Branch in north Jackson at gunpoint, but after a high-speed chase he was arrested the next day. FBI agents claim he is also responsible for bank robberies in Mississippi and Florida. Court papers showed he must also undergo a 500 hour drug program and pay $4,226.00 in restitution to First South Bank.
