Dodd Hosts Thanksgiving Meal

It was a different venue, but the same meaning, as Councilman Johnny Dodd hosted his annual Thanksgiving meal Thursday. Mount Moriah Baptist Church provided the backdrop for the annual event. Organizers said the chance to give back for at least one day of the year is thanks enough. They said without this event, some would have no place to go for Thanksgiving. “With so many families out of work, times are hard. I think it’s time for people to get together and show love for each other,” Councilman Dodd said. This year’s event fed close to 200 people. All of the food that was served was donated to the organizers.
