Investigators are looking into the circumstances surrounding a crash involving a pickup truck and deer in south Jackson, Friday night that left at least one person injured. Both Jackson Police and the Madison County deputies rushed to the scene of Perry Switch Road and South Highland Avenue in south Jackson around 6:30 p.m. Investigators told 7 Eyewitness News the driver of the pickup was heading west on Perry Switch Road nears Hayes Branch Trail, when it struck a deer which crashed through the windshield and through the vehicle. The driver was able to continue to drive several miles, eventually stopping near South Highland Avenue. Investigators said there were four people in the truck. The investigation continues.
