Chapman Arrested for Shooting Outside Jimmy D’s

The Jackson man accused in a shooting outside Jimmy D’s Sports Bar last Wednesday has been arrested and charged. Police said around Noon Monday, Jackson gang officers along with u.S. Marshals arrested Travis Chapman, 26, inside a home on Melissa Cove in Jackson. He is set to be formally charged with attempted first degree murder, Tuesday morning. Early last Wednesday morning, Chapman is accused of shooting a 33-year-old man in the stomach after one of his friends argued with the man. The victim was released from the hospital on Sunday.
