Secrease Arraigned on Murder Charge

The man charged with murdering a Jackson man and then setting his house on fire to cover up the killing made his first appearance in Jackson City Court, Friday. Randall Secrease, 45, is charged with first degree murder, arson, tampering with evidence and theft of property in the December 7 killing of James Blaine Divine, III. According to court documents, Secrease confessed to the striking Divine with a stick, stabbing him in the chest, dousing his house with gasoline and setting it on fire and then stealing the victim’s vehicle. At the arraignment, Seacrease stated he is currently facing charges related to manufacturing methamphetamine in Harrisburg, Arkansas. He also said he had been in a rehabilitation program to deal with his meth problem. Secrease has been previously convicted of arson in Missouri. He is being held without bond at the Madison County Jail and is scheduled to return to court Thursday, December 22.
