THP Investigating Fatal Wreck Near Pinson

Emergency officials and law enforcement are still trying to determine what caused a crash that took the life of in south Madison County, Thursday morning. The one-vehicle crash happened on Highway 45 South near Pinson. Law enforcement was called to the scene around 10:15 to investigate. Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol said the car ran off the highway and hit an embankment of a drainage ditch, killing the driver. The name of the driver has not been released. According to investigators, the victim was not wearing a seat belt.
