Clarksville Police Seek Present Owners
Clarksville police are trying to identify the owner of nearly two dozen wrapped Christmas gifts that may have been stolen.
Clarksville police said in a statement that police were called to a residential neighborhood on Monday after a report of suspicious activity. Police found several items that were identified as being stolen from recent vehicle burglaries, but they also found 22 wrapped presents with names on the gift tags.
Police said it appeared that the presents were partially opened to check the contents and then discarded. Police are hoping to return the gifts to the rightful owners in time for Christmas.
