Airport Authority Expects Busier 2012 for MKL
With the recent announcement of a new airline coming to McKellar- Sipes Regional Airport, authorities are expecting smoother and busier commercial flights. The airport’s executive director says the new SeaPort Airlines already has more advantages over the previous carrier, Tennesssee Skies. You will soon be able to fly to Nashville and Memphis out of Jackson. The carrier already has an agreement with the Nashville Airport that allows the planes to drop off passengers at the main terminal, something authorities say Tennessee Skies was never able to achieve. This means passengers do not have to go through TSA screenings until they get to their destinations. Seaport is offering a special 29 dollar introductory rate for all flights until Valentines day.
