Bolivar Murder Suspect Charged

New details have emerged in the New Year’s Eve death of a Whiteville man who police said was involved in an argument with a suspect who authorities now have in custody. Investigators said Victor Alexander, 40, has been charge with second degree murder in connection with the incident. Until now, police have remained tight-lipped as to the nature of that argument, but now say Greg Douglass, 38, and Alexander were arguing over a domestic dispute when Douglass was fatally shot in the stomach. Authorities said Alexander is due in court January 10.
