Bethea Indicted for Attempted First Degree Murder

A man arrested for attempted first degree murder is under indictment in the case. Courtney Bethea, 25, was indicted on charges of attempted first degree murder and aggravated assault. Last September, police received multiple shots-fired calls at Lane College. Police arrived to find student Rico Walker lying on the ground with a gun shot wound to the leg. Police said Bethea got into an altercation with Walker. Walker fled the scene and Bethea followed , firing multiple times. Bethea remains in custody at the Madison County jail on a $150,000 bond.
