Jackson to Host Chipping of the Green
Do not put your live Christmas tree in the landfill. You can still have time to take part in an event, Saturday that can dispose of the tree in an environmentally-friendly way. “Keep Jackson Beautiful” is again sponsoring the annual “Chipping of the Green.” Members of the group and master gardener volunteers will provide the manpower to turn your old trees int small wood chips which can be sued for garden pathways or for composting. The chips will be bagged and available for pickup by the public at no charge. You can bring live trees to Fairgrounds Park to get it chipped. You can pick up the wood chips Saturday morning from 9 until 12 Noon at Jackson’s Fairgrounds Park.
