Search Underway for Bank Robber
Trenton police and the FBI are searching for the armed gunman who robbed the Regions Bank on Highway 45W in Trenton, Thursday morning. Investigators said the robbery happened just before 11:00 a.m. The thief reportedly walked into the bank, pulled out the gun and demanded money from a teller. Police said the suspect drove south in a red pickup truck. That truck, which was reported stolen Tuesday from the auto dealership across from the bank, was found behind a church about a mile south of the bank. Trenton Police Chief Will Sanders said he doesn‘t believe the robber acted alone. “We do know that there was a second vehicle at the new wave church with either maybe a second accomplice,” Sanders said.
