Nestaway to Close McKenzie Plant

Some McKenzie workers will soon be without a job as one of their plants is shutting down. According to the McKenzie Industrial Development Board, the Nestaway plant will be closing sometime this year. The location currently manufactures shopping carts and employs about 20 workers. The factory opened in 1991, making wire racks for dishwashers, but when the Maytag plant in Jackson closed, Nestaway to a hard hit. Nestaway’s plant manager refused to comment about the closure and has made an officials announcement yet.
