Police Release Cause of Death for Man Found Dead Sunday

The medical examiner has solved the mystery concerning the cause of death for Jackson man found in a car parked at an east Jackson housing complex. Police found the body of Marcus Williams inside a Jeep Cherokee parked in front of his Lincoln Courts apartment building after receiving a call just before 7, Sunday morning. The medical examiner said Williams died of smoke inhalation from a car fire. Investigators said he was found alone in the driver’s seat of his girlfriends Jeep which apparently caught fire while the engine was idling.
