Tennessee Art Association Host Its Regional Competition
Dozens of students artists, teachers, and proud parents gathered in Humboldt at the West Tennessee Regional Art Center for its regional competition and awards. Students from area middle schools and high schools submitted their artwork and nearly 100 students had their work on display in the center. Categories included best ceramics, best computer graphics, best photography and more. Organizers said it is a great way to showcase upcoming talent all while exposing students to other types of artwork. “It just seems that the quality of work gets better year after year its just amazing what the students are accomplishing and it is great that the teachers are nurturing this young talent,” said West Tennessee Regional Art Center Co-Chair Bill Kickerson. All the artwork will be on display Monday through Friday this week.
