Gilbert Charged with Leaving Child Home Alone

A 23-year-old father from Atwood accused of leaving his one year-old son home alone has been arrested on a charge of child abused or neglect. Brandon Gilbert is accused of texting his child’s mother last week, indicating he had left the house and their child was in bed. The mother told investigators she came home and found the oven on with the door open and the baby in her bed. Gilbert’s bond was set at $1,000.
