Man Convicted in Shooting; Suspected in Murder

The day after a Jackson man was convicted of attempted murder, Jackson police said they believe he is responsible for an even more serious crime and need help proving it. Thursday, Ladarius Maxwell, 19, was convicted of two counts each of attempted second degree and aggravated assault. The charges stem from a shooting in Lincoln Courts last March where two brothers were the target. 13 days later, one of the brothers, 26 year old Lovell Kinnie was fatally shot as he and his brother drove through the same apartment complex. Investigators said Maxwell remains a person of interest in this shooting as well.
